Special jewelry boxes

Monday, May 11th, 2009

In my day, jewelry boxes were just a box that all the jewelry went in, but now, you can buy watch jewelry boxes, earring jewelry boxes and boxes that are specifically made for necklaces only. The array of jewelry boxes can be decked out in a plethora of styles and colors. My daughter bought a few for her and her bridesmaids and the party guests. She purchased a lot of things besides that, including her accesssories and reception supplies. All kinds of ideas are on there for weddings in a specific theme, or more standard, old-fashioned types of weddings. The décor my daughter and her groom went with had a fairy tale look and feel to it. They pulled it off in stunning fashion, her with long flowing veil and him with his extravagant tuxedo. It was a picturesque wedding. A horse drawn carriage with a driver in classical attire swept the two of them away from the church after the ceremony was over.
The reception had small white lights to add with the tulle that was draped above and tall flower vases scattered all about the room. The tables at the reception had silvery sparkles and wonderful flower arrangements, and the bride and groom table sat in front of an arrangement of red and white roses with ivy strung along an arch. The reception tables twinkled even more with the silver tea light dove place card holders she selected. The small jewelry boxes each woman at the wedding got as a favor had crystals and flowers beautifully interwoven in their design. All the guys got a key chain with a frog wearing a crown and royal robe on them, which represented the infamous frog prince. The special personalized jewelry boxes for the bridesmaids had black velvet-lined interiors and were made of wood and sliver-plated. Each box had the name and of the bride and groom and the wedding date etched in them. The thank you gift my daughter gave the girls was very warmly received. The wholesale jewelry box I saw looked like an extremely expensive jewelry box! The men each got a commemorative inscription in a small plaque and a set of wine related gifts. I thought that was pretty unique for a thank you gift.
A tiny castle sitting at the top of the three-tiered wedding cake lent the cake a mystical appearance. She even found a cake knife set that matched up with her storybook theme and champagne flutes to go with it. I couldn’t believe all the super accessories she got and it didn’t cost her anywhere near what I thought it would cost. They were firm about the fact that they did not want us to cover the bills from the wedding even though, as parents of the bride, we made it clear to them that we expected to pay for everything.
I felt the warm tears flow down my face as the two of them gracefully floated around the floor for their first dance. It truly looked like something out of a fairytale, just like the ball in the Cinderella story. The guys got so rowdy trying to catch the garter, during the garter toss, that they had me laughing to no end. My daughter’s wedding day was as magical as she imagined it would be, and the whole thing was so special. Her ideal honeymoon is where they are at the moment, and I’m sure it will be wonderful, too. I can hardly wait for them to get back and tell me all about the fantastic sights they saw.

Shopping for jewelry boxes

Finding everything I needed for my wedding ceremony and reception was a lot of work, but went I went to pick out a gift for I bridesmaids, I realized that the other things had only been half of the battle. The perfect gift for them was hard to find. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. I saved a ton on that. Instead of having to buy each piece separately, I was able to purchase it all together at a great low price.
While looking for the thank you gifts for my bridesmaids, I found a very lovely jewelry box I thought they all might like to have. As I looked, I discovered a variety of high-quality wedding jewelry boxes. Since I was having such a hard time making up my mind on which one I wanted to order, I decided to move on to the rest of my wedding needs and get back to the thank you gifts for my girls later. I had some shopping to do yet for the reception; the ceremony was pretty well set. I didn’t have my wedding cake topper yet, nor did I have the wedding favors for my friends and family, so that’s where I went next. Bottle openers made of chrome in the form of birds of peace and salt and pepper shakers that looked like a couple on their wedding day were what I went with. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
The topper I finally decided on was a bride and groom embracing and it was really quite lovely on top of our wedding cake. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. I bought them all a piece of super wedding jewelry, and I put it in girls jewelry boxes. The piece I got each of the bridesmaids was a glittery rhinestone bangle. It was just perfect for them even though it probably sounds like a bit much. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. I also got a some pearl wedding jewelry for myself, and wore it in my wedding ceremony. The quality of the jewelry is top-notch, and the prices are deeply discounted. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. Two single people drew some attention: my husband’s brother snatched the garter out of the air, and my sister won the bouquet toss. Might something come of it? Who knows, maybe one day they will be in our spot and my sister would then be my sister in law as well, that’s really weird. You never know!
