Different types of Area rugs

Area rugs provide a completely different look to the floor and are available in different varieties, colors and designs. Some of common varieties of area rugs include the Persian rugs, oriental rugs, contemporary rugs and the Native American rugs. Based on the type of manufacturing process adopted, the area rugs can be divided into man made rugs and the machine made rugs. Based on the fiber used for making the rugs, they are again divided into synthetic fiber rugs and natural fiber rugs. When selecting the rugs, one has to look for rugs that are lighter in color, particularly for small rooms, as light colored rugs tend to create an impression of large rooms. One has to go for sufficiently padded rugs, as it will make it easier for the people to clean the rugs using the vacuum and the rugs also will last for a longer time. The colors of the rugs can be chosen in such a way that it matches the color of the wall of the room.
